Our Story

It started with one belief: girls can create change

CapitalHER was founded by Thivya Jeyapalan, an entrepreneur and student at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School in 2023.

Growing up, Thivya was surrounded by ambitious young women with ideas worth pursuing — girls who wanted to launch businesses, lead initiatives, solve problems in their communities, and create meaningful change.

Too often, young women are told they can be anything. Far fewer are shown how to get there. So she built the community she wished existed.

CapitalHER was envisioned to be a place where girls could develop entrepreneurial skills, build confidence, connect with mentors, and transform ideas into action.

Ambition can and should meet action.
